InCube Labs Hosts Event in San Antonio; Thanks Community for Support
June 7, 2011 – Mir Imran, Chairman & CEO of InCube Labs, hosted a group of approximately 100 members of the San Antonio community for a celebration of the opening of InCube’s San Antonio Innovation Center.
The gathering was held at Hotel Contessa and included members of the City leadership including Mayor Julian Castro and City Manager Sheryl Sculley, business and community leaders as well as local investors.
The event included presentations by Mir Imran; Phil Morgan, Vice President, InCube Labs; and Martin Dieck, President, NFocus Neuromedical, an InCube Labs company. In addition, InCube held a panel discussion with med tech thought leaders titled, “Changing Times: How Life Sciences Companies Need to Adapt in Today’s Environment.”
The panel was moderated by David Cassak, Vice President, Content and Managing Director, Medical Devices for Elsevier Business Intelligence. Panelists included Rich Ferrari, Managing Director, DeNovo Ventures, a Silicon Valley based medical technology venture fund; Casey McGlynn, Silicon Valley based med tech luminary and Partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, one of the leading law firms in the country; and Mir Imran.
Mayor Castro closed the meeting with supportive comments about InCube’s move to San Antonio, and the potential impact for the San Antonio community longer term.
